Asbestoseal from Insulating Technology

DESCRIPTION

The basis of asbestoseal is a primer that penetrates through the asbestos sheets providing a solid base, thus enabling it to encapsulate the asbestos fibres. On completion of this application a heat radiating emolastic membrane is applied.Asbestos Encapsulation

Diagnoses - Asbestos Roof

Asbestos Roofs have a history of dating back to the 1920’s. After many years of exposure to the elements they deteriorate, the asbestos surface accumulates Lichen. Over the period of time the Lichen affects the Asbestos Sheets, causing the surface to be unstable, allowing asbestos fibres to become airbourne and increase in temperature inside the building.

Heat Re-radiating Membranes

Asbestoseal will “re-radiate”95% of solar infra-red rays and 85% ultra violet rays back into the atmosphere. Asbestoseal has a remarkable ability to stop heat transfer by completely out dates other coatings which rely on reflection and convential internally fitted systems such as fiberglass bottles or foam

Encapsulation advantages:

  1. Cost effective and attractive, approximately 1/3 of the Replacement Cost
  2. No production loss
  3. Temperature reduction up to 22 celcius degree
  4. Waterproof
  5. Reduced or eliminated air conditioning costs
  6. Comply with NOHSC {2018(2005)}Code of Practice for the Management and Control of Asbestos in Workplaces
  7. Surpasses APAS Specification 1720/2 and complies with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 standards.
  8. Avoid costly friable asbestos dust clean up for industrial and commercial premises.

WARRANTY

A warranty may be issued for THE ASBESTOSEAL SYSTEM when it is applied by Sydney City Roofing. A 10 year manufacturer's warranty may be issued for the colour Off White. A 8 year manufacturer's warranty may be issued for all other colours.

AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT STANDARDS

The Asbestoseal System conforms and surpasses the Government Paint Committee Approval GPC-C-1720/2 Scheme and complies with AS/NZS 900:2000 Standards.

Standard Test of Performance to Salinated Fog: NF x 41 - 002

Test sample: galvanized Steel (new)

After 500 hours of exposure to salinated fog, the material showed no effect of dusting, unsticking, cracking, change of colour, bubbling nor traces if rusting of the surface on which the material is applied.

Standard Test of Performance to Humidity and Heat: NF T 30-802

Surface used: Fibro cement, Alkaline Fibro-cement

After 3 weeks of exposure at 40 celcius degree (104 degree Fahreinheit ) +/-2 celcius degree, and 95% relative humidity, the tested material showed no dust, no loss of adhesion, no cracking, no change of colour nor bubbling.
